Greetings and welcome to the official website for Zeta Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

 

I am deeply honored to serve as President of a dynamic group of talented women who are at the forefront of providing service to our community.

 

Founded in 1957, Zeta Omega Omega has been a guiding light in our community.  Locally, Zeta Omega Omega carries out the International Program, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood.  Under the leadership of Danette Anthony Reed, the sorority’s International President and CEO, and Far Western Regional Director Nichole Starr Jordan, we are excited to provide service in five program areas:

  • Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack Program (CHIPP)

  • Youth Leadership Institute (YLI)

• Build Our Economic Wealth

• Enhance Our Environment

• Advocate for Social Justice

• Uplift Our Local Community

 

Through our program initiatives, we provide transformative programs to the greater Tacoma area.  Zeta Omega Omega provides scholarships to local high school seniors entering college.  We also provide leadership training to middle school students, advocate for social justice by holding public policy and voter awareness forums, and provide financial literacy training to local area youths.  Zeta Omega Omega addresses the issue of food insecurity by providing food power packs to elementary students and stocking a little free food pantry in our local community.  Since the founding of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in 1908, it has been our main objective to be of service to those who live in our community. A prime purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is to be of supreme service to all mankind.

 

Zeta Omega Omega Chapter is diverse in age, professions, and experience, but united in our commitment to service and success.  The beauty of our chapter is that we are small in number but large in accomplishment.
